Garth and Vivian Jepperson, High School sweethearts, were married in 1968. They are no strangers to owning and operating a business. They started in agriculture in 1974 and for 20 years ran a business that they took much pride in. Along the way they gained a great reputation.

As the small town they grew up in and raised their family in boomed, Garth and Vivian moved to a very rural high mountain valley in central Utah. Mule deer, elk and bald eagles can still be found here living peacefully with the area residents. Garth having horses all of his life, and Vivian being an artist who enjoyed woodcarving, put their heads together and started Sanpete Spur and Silver. Vivian studied under Manuel Gonzales , who was awarded engraver of the year in 2004 at the academy of Western Artists in Fort Worth Texas. Garth being a natural born craftsman, does what ever needs to be done with his hands. He is a natural at soldering, shaping, welding and bending metals. Together they make a great team in their new found business.

They work in their studio adjacent to their home in the beautiful Sanpete Valley where they enjoy the company of their many horses and a dog. Family and friends are frequent visitors, and many of the area's artists and craftspeople have become contributors to Sanpete Spur & Silver's collection of unique Western art.

Come and visit with Garth and Vivian in Spring City, where a Western way of life continues to inspire residents to live and work with their hearts and hands.
